we love...

The way the 17th-century cloister becomes your cocktail hour space – ivy-lined and timeless with a hint of Mallorca magic.

What's so special about Finca Es Convent?

Finca Es Convent | A Historic Mallorcan Hideaway in the Heart of Santa Maria del Camรญ

Thereโ€™s something immediately grounding about Finca Es Convent – a kind of quiet, effortless beauty that comes from centuries of stories held in it’s stone walls. Tucked in Santa Maria del Camรญ, this former 17th-century monastery once housed the friars of the Order of the Minims, a contemplative community known for their simple, peaceful way of life and you can still feel that sense of calm the moment you step inside.

After the estate returned to the Marquis de la Fontsanta family, a careful restoration in 2022 gave the whole place a fresh breath of modern style. Think warm Mallorcan stone, cloistered walkways, leafy courtyards and soft Mediterranean light – all subtly updated without losing the soul of the original monastery. It feels historic, but never heavy; elegant, but never overdone.

Weddings here feel wonderfully intimate. The venue is exclusive-use only, so the entire estate is yours for the day – from the ivy-draped cloister to the open-air courtyard and the vaulted reception spaces. Ceremonies and celebrations of up to 120 guests unfold across different corners of the property, each with its own rhythm and charm.

Thereโ€™s no accommodation on-site, but Santa Maria and the surrounding countryside have plenty of stylish boutique hotels, fincas and private villas to turn your celebration into a long weekend in Mallorca. And with Palma Airport just 18 minutes away, your guests can drop their bags and be sipping local wine in the courtyard before sunset.

Finca Es Convent is the kind of place that feels discovered, not staged.. timeless, understated, and quietly romantic.

Transportation

RENFE runs high-speed trains across the country and towns such as Madrid and Barcelona have their own Metro networks. Look for the green light if you want to hail a taxi in the street โ€“ Spanish taxis wont take more than four people at a time and theyโ€™re harder to find on Friday and Saturday nights. Most cities have plenty of buses with tickets available on board or at estancos (tobacconists).

Public Holidays

All the big religious holidays such as Easter and Christmas, as well as Three Kings Day/ Epiphany (6th January), Labour Day (1st May) and Hispanic Day (12th October). Many of the regions have their own local public holidays, such as Balearic Day in the Balearic Islands (1st March).

good to know

Spain is recognised as one of the sunniest countries in Europe, with over 300 days of sunshine per year. That sounds like good odd's to us...
