Achnagairn Castle & Estate Achnagairn Castle is a private wedding venue in the Highlands, bursting with character.
Nestled on a private 5* estate outside Inverness, weddings always last two nights or more, to allow you the time to really drink things in.
There are a few core principles to Achnagairnโs approach to make weddings truly extraordinary.

Space for everyone: Achnagairn can sleep up to 130 guests, with 24 luxury castle bedrooms and a further 35 rooms on the estate. No need for taxis at midnight!

The castle as it now stands was built circa 1812, but in 1912, it had a rather significant additionโฆ it’s magnificent vaulted ballroom, which was built for the then-ownerโs 21st birthday party, as the poor dear had nowhere to host her festivities! The only one of it’s kind in the Highlands, you could not hope for a more magical place to tie the knot.
Each bedroom on the estate is unique: individually designed with its own name and theme. Some are more traditional: wood panelled and luxurious, with four-poster beds and original antiques; others are quirkier and more contemporary: a round bedroom with a round bed and bath, for instance! The bridal suite, ย is a haven of calm, this suite of 70 square metres is enormously spacious, suffused in light and boasting an enormous 4 poster bed.
The reception rooms at Achnagairn castle have the same diverse feel as its bedrooms. Whilst some of the rooms are steeped in tradition, others have a strong contemporary feel.
A castle wedding in the Scottish highlands couldn’t look any more appealing.
