A 400 year old Chateau oozing classical french charm in the Loire Valley, with accommodation on site for up to 65 of your guests.

What's So Special About Château de Jalesnes?

Built in 1610 in the Loire Valley, Château de Jalesnes is rich with history, playing host to knights, royals, merchants, and more. Lovingly restored to it’s former glory, Chateau de Jalesnes is available to hire all-year round. Why not privatise the Château for up to 65 guests and have the place to yourselves? Opt for their exclusive use option to see them close the chateau to the public, giving you the full run of the château for you and your guests. Use the grounds and function spaces to their maximum potential – perhaps cocktails on the terrace, your ceremony in the chapel and a reception for up to 180 people in the magnificent banquet hall, or a more intimate gathering in the dining room.

Chateau de Jalesnes has many a perfect space for your perfect day: the Chapel on site – Chapel of St Louis, with its stone domed roof and stained glass window, within the chateau itself you have The Pavillon de Chasse – an ancient stone hunting tower, in the chateau’s forest you’ll find The Chestnut Grove – adjacent to the chateau, sheltered under massive cooling trees you have The Formal Lawns – with the chateau or forest as your backdrop The Dry Moat – offers a unique aspect surrounding the Chateau. So, whether you imagine your guests taking Cocktails on the Terrace or in the Chestnut Grove, sipping afternoon tea in the formal French Gardens then fine dining into the evening in the Grand Banquet Hall, this beautiful french wedding venue can certainly cater to your vision.

With space inside capable of seating up to 180 guests within the Chateau, or for larger gatherings, the formal lawns can accommodate up to 500 people. Big cities such as Paris have a metro but most locations have cheap and accessible public transport, such as trains and buses. Taxis are easy to find or call – available taxis are often indicated by a blue or white light.

Public Holidays

The French treat Christmas, Easter and New Year as serious holidays, as well as VE Day (8th May), Bastille Day (14th July), Armistice Day (11th November) and various saints days (e.g. All Saints' Day on 1st November).

What Couples Say

“Two years before our wedding we visited France, fell in love with Château de Jalesnes, and booked it! Over the course of the planning and the wedding itself, we became very close to Jenny and David, and consider them friends. We had a four-day wedding and we had 90 guests aend. Jenny, David and the Team were excellent – they really understood what we wanted. They went above and beyond during the wedding and made sure that all of our guests’ needs were aended to. The venue is incredible, the rooms are fantastic, and the whole experience was just magical. We couldn’t have wished for a beer venue and service. We had so many compliments on the food and it was the highest quality. If you get the chance to have your wedding or any event at Château de Jalesnes you will NOT be disappointed. ThanksThanks again for such a wonderful few days, we only wish we could do it all again.”

What Couples Say

“We honestly couldn’t have chosen a more perfect venue for our wedding weekend in August. From the moment we stepped inside this beautiful venue a year prior – we just knew that it would be the most incredible seing to host all of our family and friends. Jenny and David really did create a home from home feel, and it truly felt like the Château belonged to us for the weekend. With an incredible back drop for wedding photos, a relaxed pool vibe for either side of the wedding and beautifully decorated rooms for accommodation… we really didn’t want the party to end. No ask felt like too much and Jenny allowed us the freedom to try and bring our ideas to life across the wedding weekend. It was the best weekend ever and our guests genuinely are still talking about the wedding six months later. I can’t recommend this beautiful, traditional and yet modern Château enough. Five days flew by and I wish we could go back and relive every moment again. If you’re a bride-to-be and striving for that fairy-tale beginning to married life, then honestly, look no further.”
