Africa is not one kind of wedding destination, which is rather the point. One celebration might unfold in a lantern-lit villa outside Marrakech; another on a wine estate in Franschhoek, with mountains at the end of the lawn. The distance between the two is vast, but both give guests that satisfying sense of having travelled somewhere worth talking about.

Our current Africa edit moves between Morocco and South Africa. In Morocco, private villas and earthen kasbahs bring courtyards, olive groves and the Atlas Mountains into play. Further south, the Western Cape delivers vineyard estates, mountain-framed gardens and the sort of very long lunch that can quite easily become dinner.
