Best Wedding Venues in Extremadura for a Destination Wedding
Extremadura is Spain for people who thought they already knew Spain. Inland, unhurried and quietly spectacular, it swaps busy resorts for cork-oak forests, olive groves and horizons with very little interrupting them.
The region is shaped by its dehesas, the vast oak-dotted landscapes traditionally used for grazing and agriculture. For a destination wedding, that means private fincas with genuine space around them, outdoor celebrations without an audience and the possibility of taking over an entire estate for several days.
Our Extremadura collection begins with La Dehesa de Don Pedro, a restored private estate set across more than 500 hectares near Monesterio, Badajoz. Although wonderfully secluded, it is around 90 minutes from Seville Airport, making it considerably easier for international guests to reach than the landscape might suggest.
The estate is available for exclusive-use celebrations, with accommodation for up to 37 guests and additional beds increasing this to 48. Weddings of up to 150 can unfold across its olive groves, hilltop viewpoints, gardens and glass pavilion. There is also a pool for the following day and no hard curfew, which is often exactly what a multi-day Spanish wedding requires.
This is a venue for long tables beneath open skies, golden-hour drinks overlooking the hills and a wedding weekend that feels entirely removed from ordinary life.
