Transportation

RENFE runs high-speed trains across the country and towns such as Madrid and Barcelona have their own Metro networks. Look for the green light if you want to hail a taxi in the street โ€“ Spanish taxis wont take more than four people at a time and theyโ€™re harder to find on Friday and Saturday nights. Most cities have plenty of buses with tickets available on board or at estancos (tobacconists).

Public Holidays

All the big religious holidays such as Easter and Christmas, as well as Three Kings Day/ Epiphany (6th January), Labour Day (1st May) and Hispanic Day (12th October). Many of the regions have their own local public holidays, such as Balearic Day in the Balearic Islands (1st March).

good to know

Spain is recognised as one of the sunniest countries in Europe, with over 300 days of sunshine per year. That sounds like good odd's to us...

What Couples Say

“Choosing Mas Huix as our wedding venue was the best decision we made for our special day. From the moment we set foot on the grounds, we knew it was something truly extraordinary. The exclusivity of Mas Huix made us feel like we had our own private paradise. Surrounded by the breathtaking Spanish countryside, the view was nothing short of spectacular. The historical building exudes charm and elegance, adding a touch of old-world romance to our celebration. One of the standout features was the intimate chapel, which provided a truly magical setting for our ceremony. The ambiance was ethereal, and it felt like a scene straight out of a fairy tale. Throughout the planning process, Marta, the coordinator at Mas Huix, was an absolute godsend. Her expertise and support were invaluable. She went above and beyond to ensure every detail was perfect, from the initial consultations to the final moments of our special day. Marta’s warm and reassuring presence made us feel like we were in the most capable hands. Our wedding at Mas Huix was an unforgettable experience, and we would wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone seeking a unique and intimate celebration. It’s a place where dreams come true, and where love truly knows no bounds.”
