we love...
Mas Terrats will always hold a special place in our hearts, having celebrated our own wedding here in 2018. But even setting that aside, it’s one of those rare venues that genuinely feels like home. From Rosa’s incredibly warm welcome (the lovely owner) to the freedom to make the estate entirely your own, everything about Mas Terrats encourages a relaxed, joyful wedding weekend that guests will still be talking about years later – as do ours.

What's so special about Mas Terrats?
Mas Terrats | A 15th Century Catalan Farmhouse Made for Effortless Wedding Weekends
There’s something wonderfully different about Mas Terrats. Rather than arriving at a wedding venue, it feels as though you’ve been handed the keys to a much-loved Catalan family home for the weekend.
Set within more than 100 hectares of olive groves, woodland and open countryside, this beautifully restored 15th-century farmhouse is exclusively yours throughout your stay. Whether you’re planning a single day of celebrations or making the most of a long wedding weekend, there’s a wonderful sense of freedom here. Guests settle in, afternoons drift between the pool and the gardens, welcome dinners turn into late-night conversations, and the wedding itself becomes just one part of an unforgettable few days together.
The farmhouse sleeps up to 18 guests across nine characterful en-suite bedrooms, while the surrounding grounds offer endless possibilities for celebrating. Exchange vows beneath the Catalan sky, gather everyone beneath the estate’s beautiful covered outdoor space for dinner and dancing, then wake the following morning with nowhere to be but together.
One of Mas Terrats’ greatest strengths is its flexibility. Couples are free to choose their own caterers, planners and suppliers, allowing every celebration to feel completely personal, while the estate’s secluded setting offers complete privacy without ever feeling remote.
Just 30 minutes from Girona Airport and within easy reach of Barcelona, Mas Terrats is remarkably straightforward for guests travelling from across Europe. Relaxed, welcoming and full of character, it’s the kind of place that quietly encourages everyone to slow down, switch off and make themselves at home.
Nearest Airport
Conveniently located 35 minutes from Girona-Costa Brava Airport, 1 hour 20 minutes from Barcelona-El Prat Airport making it easily accessible for guests travelling from across Europe or further afield.

Even though Mas Terrats is a self catered venue, the staff can schedule for fresh pastries to arrive each morning of your stay from a local bakery – this makes for a delightful little arrival on the morning of your wedding for any guests staying at the house with you.

Transportation
RENFE runs high-speed trains across the country and towns such as Madrid and Barcelona have their own Metro networks. Look for the green light if you want to hail a taxi in the street – Spanish taxis wont take more than four people at a time and they’re harder to find on Friday and Saturday nights. Most cities have plenty of buses with tickets available on board or at estancos (tobacconists).
Public Holidays
All the big religious holidays such as Easter and Christmas, as well as Three Kings Day/ Epiphany (6th January), Labour Day (1st May) and Hispanic Day (12th October). Many of the regions have their own local public holidays, such as Balearic Day in the Balearic Islands (1st March).

good to know
Spain is recognised as one of the sunniest countries in Europe, with over 300 days of sunshine per year. That sounds like good odd's to us...
