we love...
The element of surprise. From the outside, little prepares you for the scale, atmosphere and beautifully layered spaces hidden within the estate.

What's so special about Solar do Paço Algarve?
Solar do Paço Algarve | A Hidden Estate Made for Grand Celebrations
Some venues reveal everything at once. Solar do Paço is not one of them.
Tucked away within the Algarve countryside, this is the kind of estate that unfolds gradually. Beyond its historic façade lie expansive gardens, elegant event spaces and unexpected architectural details that give the property a sense of discovery from the moment guests arrive. Despite its impressive scale, it manages to feel remarkably private – more private estate than traditional wedding venue.
With over two hectares of grounds, 1,600 square metres of covered event space and capacity for up to 350 guests, Solar do Paço is exceptionally well equipped for larger celebrations. Yet what stands out most is how naturally everything flows. Ceremonies can take place within the gardens before guests drift between terraces, courtyards and reception spaces as the day evolves, allowing each part of the celebration to feel connected rather than confined to a single setting.
The estate offers a rare level of flexibility throughout the year. Indoor and outdoor spaces work seamlessly together, allowing couples to shape the atmosphere around their vision while ensuring celebrations remain uninterrupted whatever the season. One particularly memorable detail is the Theatre Terrace, where the original palace roof structure has been thoughtfully repurposed, adding another layer of character and history to the experience.
While the venue is capable of hosting weddings on a grand scale, accommodation remains intentionally intimate. A collection of six suites, with five available on the wedding night, sleeps up to 13 guests on site, creating a private retreat for the couple and their closest family and friends while the wider guest list stays nearby.
Exclusive use ensures the entire estate feels completely your own throughout the celebration, while the in house catering team helps create an experience that feels cohesive from beginning to end.
Just thirty five minutes from Faro International Airport, Solar do Paço combines accessibility with a genuine sense of escape. For couples looking for a wedding venue with presence, flexibility and a feeling of discovering something a little unexpected, it offers a refreshingly different side of the Algarve.
Nearest Airports: Solar do Paço Algarve is located in an easily accessible location for your wedding guests travelling in from abroad – just 35 min from (45.8 km) Faro International Airport.

Transportation
RENFE runs high-speed trains across the country and towns such as Madrid and Barcelona have their own Metro networks. Look for the green light if you want to hail a taxi in the street – Spanish taxis wont take more than four people at a time and they’re harder to find on Friday and Saturday nights. Most cities have plenty of buses with tickets available on board or at estancos (tobacconists).
Public Holidays
All the big religious holidays such as Easter and Christmas, as well as Three Kings Day/ Epiphany (6th January), Labour Day (1st May) and Hispanic Day (12th October). Many of the regions have their own local public holidays, such as Balearic Day in the Balearic Islands (1st March).

Spain is recognised as one of the sunniest countries in Europe, with over 300 days of sunshine per year. That sounds like good odd's to us...
