What's So Special About Villa Cipressi?
Villa Cipressi is quite the spectacular location for a waterfront Italian wedding. Located in the charming town of Varenna, on the ever exclusive Lake Como, where you’ll find steep narrow cobbled streets and a tranquil lakefront dotted with cafés.
Villa Cipressi is situated just outside the historical centre; its entrance is on the main road although once you cross the threshold it’s all peace, quiet and gorgeous lake vistas. The villa has beautiful romantic gardens, with narrow pathways that wind down towards the lakefront – the ideal setting for those wedding photos. You’ll find 31 rooms on site and an in house catering and bar team available to you for your event.
Villa Cipressi is sat right next to Villa Monastero, another beautiful property, so quite often couples choose to have the ceremony at one and the reception at the other.
When you first catch a glimpse of the view out over the lake through the vine covered pergola courtyard, well, it’s simply breathtaking. Rustic Italian romantce perfectly describes this wedding gem. The elevated position and undisturbed views of the lake make Villa Cipressi a unique and impressive location for a destination wedding.
The Villa is available to hire exclusively and can accommodate up to 110 guests for your Wedding Ceremony & Reception.
don't miss...
Villa Cipressi’s traditional Italian Riva boat can take you both for a post ceremony cruise across Lake Como. Make sure to take your photographer along for the ride for some incredible photographs.

Transportation
Italy has plenty of public transport, from the trains to the metro in cities like Milan. The roads (and Italian drivers) are notoriously terrifying for foreigners so it’s often better to take a taxi than hire a car.
Public Holidays
Each town in Italy has it's own patron saint and shuts down to celebrate the saint’s day each year (e.g. Rome is Sts. Peter and Paul, June 29th). Alongside Christmas and Easter, the other big religious festivals are Epiphany (6th January) and All Saints Day (1st November). All of Italy celebrates Labour Day (1st May) and also Liberation Day (April 25th).
