What's so special about Vitaleta?
Vitaleta | An Iconic Tuscan Estate Rising Above the Val d’Orcia
There are few silhouettes in Tuscany as recognisable as Vitaleta. Rising from the Val d’Orcia landscape with cypress trees standing to attention and rolling hills stretching quietly beyond, it feels almost cinematic in its poise. Yet standing within its grounds, the atmosphere is less spectacle and more stillness. The architecture is simple, timeworn and entirely at ease with its surroundings.
Hosting up to 200 guests, Vitaleta lends itself to celebrations that feel generous yet deeply connected to place. Ceremonies unfold against one of the most iconic backdrops in Italy, though the experience remains intimate rather than theatrical. Guests gather with uninterrupted views across the countryside before the day shifts naturally into dinner and dancing beneath open Tuscan skies. The setting requires very little embellishment; thoughtful styling and considered details are more than enough.
Exclusive use ensures complete privacy, allowing couples to shape the estate around their own rhythm for the duration of the celebration. With no on site accommodation, the experience becomes deliberately event led, encouraging guests to stay in nearby villas and hotels while the wedding itself remains centred entirely at Vitaleta. It creates a sense of occasion, of everyone arriving together in one extraordinary setting before dispersing once more into the surrounding landscape.
Catering and supplier arrangements remain flexible, giving couples the freedom to curate a team aligned with their vision. Whether that leans towards refined minimalism or abundant Tuscan hospitality, the venue offers a striking architectural canvas rather than a prescribed formula. Should weather conditions require, alternative arrangements can be thoughtfully planned within the estate’s structure, ensuring continuity without compromise.
For guests travelling from the UK, access is straightforward. Grosseto Airport is approximately one hour and twenty four minutes away by car, with San Francesco d’Assisi Airport only slightly further. The journey through the Val d’Orcia becomes part of the experience, a gradual immersion into one of Italy’s most celebrated landscapes.
Vitaleta is calm, striking and quietly confident. It suits couples drawn to iconic Tuscan scenery who want the landscape itself to take centre stage, where the celebration feels effortless and the beauty of the setting speaks for itself.
Nearest Airports: Vitaleta is located in an easily accessible location for your wedding guests travelling in from abroad – just 1 hr 24 min (81.6 km) from Grosseto Airport and 1 hr 27 min (99.1 km) from San Francesco d’Assisi Airport.

Transportation
While Italy’s train network is excellent between cities such as Rome, Florence and Pisa, reaching countryside estates often requires a short taxi or private transfer for the final part of the journey. For this reason, many couples arrange guest shuttles or private coaches on the wedding day to ensure everyone arrives comfortably and safely.
For guests staying a few days, car hire is often the easiest way to explore Tuscany, particularly if they plan to visit nearby villages, vineyards or coastal towns during their trip.
Public Holidays
Each town in Italy has it's own patron saint and shuts down to celebrate the saint’s day each year (e.g. Rome is Sts. Peter and Paul, June 29th). Alongside Christmas and Easter, the other big religious festivals are Epiphany (6th January) and All Saints Day (1st November). All of Italy celebrates Labour Day (1st May) and also Liberation Day (April 25th).
