Calabria wedding venues
The Best Wedding Venues in Calabria, from Clifftop Terraces to Tyrrhenian Sunsets
Looking for the best wedding venues in Calabria, Italy?
Calabria is Italy before it has been overly polished for an audience. At the toe of the countryโs boot, mountains fall towards two seas, villages cling to the hills and the coastline becomes increasingly cinematic around Tropea and Capo Vaticano. It feels wilder and far less rehearsed than Italyโs better-known wedding regions – which is much of the appeal.
Our current edit begins with Il Faro, a family-run clifftop venue overlooking the Tyrrhenian Sea. From its terraces, the view reaches towards Sicily and the Aeolian Islands, giving ceremonies, sunset drinks and open-air dinners a backdrop that requires very little additional persuasion.
Il Faro is available for exclusive use and can host celebrations of up to 150 guests. Catering is handled in-house, with menus built around Calabrian produce, Mediterranean flavours and locally caught seafood. There is no accommodation at the venue, so base guests around Capo Vaticano or nearby Tropea and organise shared transport for the wedding.
Lamezia Terme International Airport is approximately an hour away by road. Transfers should be arranged in advance, particularly for guests arriving from the UK, US or Australia who may be connecting through another Italian airport.
