Naples is not a destination that bothers with understatement. Baroque streets, volcanic landscapes, an island dotted bay and some of Italy’s most persuasive food all compete for attention. Follow the coastline south and the city gives way to Sorrento, where citrus gardens, historic villas and sea views make a rather convincing setting for a wedding.

Our current edit features Villa Zagara, a private historic estate in the centre of Sorrento. The villa sits within 20,000 square metres of gardens, with ancient trees, statues, an Olympic sized swimming pool and views across the Bay of Naples.

Symbolic ceremonies can take place within the grounds, while Sorrento’s churches and the Cloisters of San Francesco are only a short walk away. The estate can host celebrations of up to 200 guests and offers exclusive use, flexible suppliers and a bridal suite. There is no overnight accommodation for guests, but Sorrento has plenty of hotels and private rentals nearby.

Naples International Airport is the most convenient arrival point. Arrange private transfers or shared guest transport, particularly when everyone is travelling between Sorrento accommodation and the venue.
