Pays de la Loire wedding venues
The Best Wedding Venues in Pays de la Loire for a Destination Wedding
On the western side of the Loire Valley, Pays de la Loire brings together historic Anjou, vineyard country, handsome villages and some seriously good-looking châteaux. It feels unmistakably French, but a wedding here need not feel overly formal.
Our current edit offers two rather different versions of château life. Château de Challain is the unapologetic showstopper: turrets, carved wood, glittering chandeliers and a private chapel, with manicured grounds made for an entrance. Its 21 suites and bedrooms accommodate up to 50 guests, while weddings can host up to 120.
Château de Jalesnes has a more relaxed, house-party rhythm. Built in 1610, it combines 27 bedrooms sleeping 65 with a chapel, swimming pool, formal gardens and an impressive banquet hall. Exclusive use gives couples the freedom to settle in and make the château their own for more than just the wedding day.
Both work particularly well for celebrations that begin with welcome drinks and finish with a slower morning together. Browse the venues below to compare accommodation, capacity and key details, then enquire directly for current pricing and availability.
