we love...

“Most guests often tell us after their stay that, beyond the obvious reasons which make Quinta da Comporta so beautiful and special, the thing that really stands out is the unique light and overall feeling of well-being. Something hard to describe but that is felt instantly upon arrival.”

What's So Special About Quinta da Comporta Boutique Wellness Resort?

At Quinta da Comporta you’ll be surrounded by wild sand dunes, stunning rice fields and over 60km of pristine, white-sand beaches – the perfect portuguese wedding venue for couples dreaming of a stylish and luxurious destination wedding. A magical place where time feels like it stands still, a place where you and your wedding guests can disconnect and enjoy a once in a lifetime celebration.

Located in Carvalhal, just 1.5 miles from Comporta Beach, Quinta Da Comporta is inspired by the beauty of the surrounding environment, an open and connected to nature concept is adopted in every room with breathtaking views from nearly every space. A neutral palette of tones runs throughout, with salvaged natural materials from the local area incorporated into the interior design, such as wood, wicker, glass and stone with décor motifs designed by local artisans that colour in each nook with authenticity.

We love to endorse venues that have a focus on sustainability and Quinta da Comporta has just that – with over 600m2 of solar panels creating sustainable electricity, the 40m infinity pool and 20m Spa pool are both heated using renewable energy. With the reutilisation of residual waters in the gardens (recycling waste water), the exclusive use of bikes and electric buggies inside the resort to cut back on toxic exhausts and controlling the mosquitos with cutting edge methods preserving their ecosystem – Comporta’s natural beauty is preserved through it’s sustainability efforts.

Nearest Airports: The nearest airport for you and your guests travelling from abroad is Humberto Delgado Airport, 48 miles from Quinta Da Comporta. It takes around an hour to drive to the hotel and private transfers can be arranged for your guests at around €185 each way.

Price: POA (does not hold weddings June-Sept, 4 day buyout required for exclusive use)

good to know

Portugal is still somewhat of a hidden gem when it comes to the destination wedding market. Although locals still have a very traditional wedding style, the creatives working over there love to push the boundaries, so you can rest assured your Portuguese destination wedding will be like no other.
