One of the on-site restaurant’s Tasca da Comporta – a haven of relaxation and stylish décor – offers sophisticated traditional Portuguese petiscos (small plates). For example, if you crave something sophisticated but intimate, rent a villa which sleeps up to eight and includes an open plan kitchen/living space, decking area with pool and loungers, surrounded by an expanse of sandy ground, pine and olive trees. Have your ceremony on the deck outside your villa, drinks by the pool and dinner in the main Sem Porta restaurant – or if it’s a smaller affair, in the Organic Garden at the farm-to-table Food Circle.

If you’re looking to host a bigger event then there are other options – such as a ceremony on the beach and a lavish beachside reception or after party at the Beach Club (late licence until 4am) – or the Botanico Bar (please don’t deny yourself a Portuguesa). Choose from a BBQ, brunch or set menu. Or celebrate elegantly by the main Sublime pool, long tables perfectly set in crisp linens with natural touches, every detail aligned with the sleek, modern – yet grounded and earthy – luxury of the place.
